Nuestro principal objetivo es que den sus primeros pasos y escuchar esas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/primeras-palabras-bebes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">primeras palabras del beb\u00e9<\/a>, para seguir desarroll\u00e1ndose y adquiriendo todas las habilidades que necesitan para ser felices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pero \u00bfqu\u00e9 pasa cuando durante unos a\u00f1os tu beb\u00e9 aprende y, de pronto, empieza a perder habilidades en lugar de ganarlas? Esto se denomina <strong>s\u00edndrome de Heller<\/strong> o <strong>trastorno desintegrativo infantil<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Te contamos todo lo que necesitas saber sobre esta afecci\u00f3n y c\u00f3mo sobrellevarla.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el S\u00edndrome de Heller?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El Trastorno desintegrativo de la infancia o S\u00edndrome de Heller es una condici\u00f3n muy rara que afecta a algunos ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as que, despu\u00e9s de haber tenido un desarrollo normal durante los primeros a\u00f1os de vida, empiezan a perder de forma progresiva las habilidades que hab\u00edan adquirido, tanto en el lenguaje, como en la comunicaci\u00f3n, la interacci\u00f3n social, el juego y el comportamiento. Est\u00e1 considerado como un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/trastornos-espectro-autista-tea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trastorno del espectro autista<\/a>, pero con un inicio m\u00e1s tard\u00edo y una regresi\u00f3n m\u00e1s severa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El psiquiatra austriaco Theodor Heller, fue el primero en describir esta afecci\u00f3n en 1908 tras su observaci\u00f3n de seis ni\u00f1os de entre 3 y 4 a\u00f1os que hab\u00edan perdido sus habilidades previas.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se trata de una condici\u00f3n muy poco frecuente, que afecta a menos de 2 de cada 100.000 ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as, y que se da m\u00e1s en los varones que en las mujeres.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfCu\u00e1les son las causas del Trastorno desintegrativo infantil?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Como suele suceder con este tipo de trastornos, la causa es desconocida, aunque se est\u00e1n investigando algunos posibles factores:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Factores gen\u00e9ticos<\/strong>: se ha encontrado que algunos ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as con este trastorno tienen alteraciones en algunos genes que est\u00e1n implicados en el desarrollo cerebral y que tambi\u00e9n se han asociado con otros trastornos del espectro autista.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Factores inmunol\u00f3gicos<\/strong>: tambi\u00e9n se ha comprobado que algunos ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as con este trastorno tienen una respuesta inmune anormal, que puede provocar inflamaci\u00f3n o da\u00f1o en el cerebro.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Factores infecciosos<\/strong>: Hay teor\u00edas que especulan que ciertas infecciones, especialmente las que afectan al sistema nervioso central, como la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/meningitis-que-debo-saber\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">meningitis<\/a>, la encefalitis o el sarampi\u00f3n, pueden alterar el funcionamiento de las neuronas o las sinapsis. Sin embargo, no se ha demostrado una relaci\u00f3n causal entre estas infecciones y el s\u00edndrome de Heller.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Factores neurol\u00f3gicos<\/strong>: Cabe la posibilidad de que el trastorno se produzca debido a anomal\u00edas estructurales o funcionales en el cerebro, tales como la esclerosis, la hipoplasia o la epilepsia.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los s\u00edntomas del S\u00edndrome de Heller?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Los s\u00edntomas del Trastorno desintegrativo infantil var\u00edan de un caso a otro, pero se caracterizan por una regresi\u00f3n significativa en al menos dos de las siguientes \u00e1reas:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lenguaje<\/strong>: el ni\u00f1o o la ni\u00f1a pierde la capacidad de expresarse a trav\u00e9s del lenguaje (hablado, le\u00eddo y\/o escrito) o muestra un lenguaje muy pobre, repetitivo o estereotipado.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Comunicaci\u00f3n<\/strong>: desaparece el inter\u00e9s por comunicarse con los dem\u00e1s y empieza a mostrarse ausente o desconectado.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interacci\u00f3n social<\/strong>: la interacci\u00f3n social se reduce y se vuelve extra\u00f1a o retra\u00edda.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Juego<\/strong>: El juego pierde creatividad y se vuelve repetitivo, b\u00e1sico y sin entusiasmo.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Comportamiento<\/strong>: el ni\u00f1o o la ni\u00f1a empieza a mostrar un comportamiento muy inflexible, impulsivo e incluso desafiante.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La regresi\u00f3n suele ocurrir entre los 2 y los 10 a\u00f1os de edad y tiende a ser algo gradual, aunque existen casos en los que ha sucedido de forma abrupta.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo se trata el S\u00edndrome de Heller?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De la misma forma que sucede con otros trastornos del espectro autista, no existe cura para el trastorno desintegrativo infantil, pero se pueden aplicar algunas medidas para mejorar la calidad de vida del ni\u00f1o o la ni\u00f1a y de su familia:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Diagn\u00f3stico precoz<\/strong>: es importante detectar el trastorno lo antes posible, para poder intervenir de forma adecuada. Existen casos en los que una intervenci\u00f3n temprana ha logrado paliar la regresi\u00f3n y evitar casos m\u00e1s graves.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Evaluaci\u00f3n multidisciplinar<\/strong>: es necesario realizar una evaluaci\u00f3n exhaustiva del ni\u00f1o o la ni\u00f1a, que incluya aspectos m\u00e9dicos, psicol\u00f3gicos, educativos y sociales, para poder establecer un plan de tratamiento individualizado y adaptado a sus necesidades.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Intervenci\u00f3n temprana<\/strong>: debe abarcar las \u00e1reas afectadas por la regresi\u00f3n y debe implicar a la familia y al entorno escolar.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apoyo farmacol\u00f3gico<\/strong>: en algunos casos, puede ser necesario recurrir a la medicaci\u00f3n, para tratar algunos s\u00edntomas asociados al trastorno, como la ansiedad, la depresi\u00f3n, la agresividad, la hiperactividad o la epilepsia. La medicaci\u00f3n debe ser prescrita y supervisada por un especialista, y debe ajustarse a las caracter\u00edsticas y la evoluci\u00f3n del ni\u00f1o o la ni\u00f1a.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apoyo psicol\u00f3gico<\/strong>: es esencial ofrecer un apoyo psicol\u00f3gico peque\u00f1o o peque\u00f1a, pero tambi\u00e9n a su familia, para ayudarles a afrontar el impacto emocional que supone el trastorno, y para facilitarles estrategias de comunicaci\u00f3n y convivencia.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>El Trastorno desintegrativo infantil o S\u00edndrome de Heller supone un gran reto tanto para el propio afectado como para su entorno m\u00e1s cercano. Sin embargo, no es necesario preocuparse.
