Por este motivo se realizan numerosas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/que-pruebas-se-realizan-durante-el-embarazo\/\"><strong>pruebas durante el embarazo<\/strong><\/a> y los profesionales m\u00e9dicos monitorizan de forma peri\u00f3dica el desarrollo y bien estar del beb\u00e9 y la futura mam\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los problemas que pueden surgir es el <strong>crecimiento intrauterino restringido<\/strong>. Te contamos todo lo que debes saber acerca de esta anomal\u00eda en el embarazo, sus causas y las <strong>posibles consecuencias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el crecimiento intrauterino restringido?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se habla de crecimiento intrauterino restringido cuando el ginec\u00f3logo detecta que <strong>el feto no est\u00e1 creciendo<\/strong> de acuerdo con el ritmo esperado. El <strong>tama\u00f1o del beb\u00e9 es inferior al que corresponde<\/strong> a la etapa de gestaci\u00f3n en la que se encuentra o, lo que es lo mismo, es demasiado peque\u00f1o para su \u201cedad gestacional\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El crecimiento intrauterino restringido puede clasificarse en <strong>dos tipos distintos<\/strong> dependiendo de c\u00f3mo se presente:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Restricci\u00f3n del Crecimiento Intrauterino Sim\u00e9trica<\/strong>: El cuerpo del beb\u00e9 es demasiado peque\u00f1o de forma generalizada. Ninguna de las partes de su cuerpo es desproporcionada, simplemente no alcanzar el tama\u00f1o esperado.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Crecimiento Intrauterino Restringido Asim\u00e9trico<\/strong>: Se da cuando el cuerpo del feto no tiene el tama\u00f1o de su edad gestacional pero s\u00ed lo tienen el cerebro y la cabeza.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 causa la restricci\u00f3n del crecimiento intrauterino?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las razones por las que se puede dar el <strong>crecimiento intrauterino restringido<\/strong> son muy variadas pero la m\u00e1s com\u00fan tiene que ver con la alimentaci\u00f3n del feto. En muchos casos, el problema est\u00e1 en que o bien la <strong>placenta<\/strong> o bien el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/que-es-el-cordon-umbilical-y-para-que-sirve\/\"><strong>cord\u00f3n umbilical<\/strong><\/a> (o, quiz\u00e1, ambos) <strong>no est\u00e1n transmitiendo los nutrientes necesarios<\/strong> y en cantidad suficiente para el futuro beb\u00e9 crezca y se desarrolle de forma correcta.<\/p>\n<p>Esta malnutrici\u00f3n tiene como resultado un <strong>menor tama\u00f1o del feto<\/strong>. La <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/preeclampsia-embarazo\/\"><strong>preeclampsia<\/strong><\/a> o <strong>eclampsia<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n pueden ser motivos por los que el beb\u00e9 no recibe el alimento necesario.<\/p>\n<p>Otros <strong>factores de riesgo<\/strong> pueden ser:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Si estas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/embarazada-y-fumadora-por-que-deberia-dejar-fumar\/\">embarazada y eres fumadora<\/a> o consumes alcohol o drogas.<\/li>\n<li>Sufrir infecciones como la s\u00edfilis, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/la-rubeola-en-el-embarazo-como-afecta-al-bebe\/\">la rub\u00e9ola en el embarazo<\/a>, o la toxoplasmosis entre otras.<\/li>\n<li>Tomar medicaciones contra las convulsiones.<\/li>\n<li>Padecer algunas afecciones como hipertensi\u00f3n, anemia, problemas de coagulaci\u00f3n, lupus, etc.<\/li>\n<li>El beb\u00e9 sufre alg\u00fan trastorno cong\u00e9nito o malformaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica.<\/li>\n<li>Un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/embarazo-multiple\/\">embarazo m\u00faltiple<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Muchas de estas <strong>causas del crecimiento intrauterino restringido<\/strong> se pueden prevenir.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 pasa si tienes crecimiento intrauterino restringido?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Si se detecta una restricci\u00f3n del crecimiento intrauterino<\/strong>, las <strong>consecuencias<\/strong> depender\u00e1n en gran medida del tipo, de la causa y de en qu\u00e9 momento del embarazo se detecte.<\/p>\n<p>Si el beb\u00e9 es demasiado peque\u00f1o hacia el final del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/tercer-trimestre-de-embarazo-sintomas-habituales\/\"><strong>tercer trimestre de embarazo<\/strong><\/a>, hay muchas posibilidades de que se produzca un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/parto-prematuro-sintomas-y-causas\/\"><strong>parto prematuro<\/strong><\/a> o de que el ni\u00f1o sea m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o de lo normal, con lo cual es m\u00e1s probable que tenga que ser hospitalizado o que necesite cuidados neonatales extra.<\/p>\n<p>Si el <strong>crecimiento intrauterino restringido<\/strong> se detecta durante el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/primer-trimestre-de-embarazo-sintomas-y-molestias-habituales\/\"><strong>primer trimestre de embarazo<\/strong><\/a> o el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/segundo-trimestre-de-embarazo-sintomas-y-riesgos-habituales\/\"><strong>segundo trimestre de embarazo<\/strong><\/a>, es posible corregir el retraso en el crecimiento si se encuentra y se trata la causa de forma adecuada y a tiempo. Sin embargo, hay que tener en cuenta que la restricci\u00f3n del crecimiento uterino <strong>aumenta las posibilidades<\/strong> de tener un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/embarazo-de-riesgo-que-es-sintomas-y-clasificacion\/\"><strong>embarazo de riesgo<\/strong><\/a>, de sufrir <strong>muerte fetal<\/strong> y de necesitar un parto por <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/cesareas-respetadas\/\"><strong>ces\u00e1rea<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Algunos beb\u00e9s con crecimiento intrauterino restringido pueden experimentar algunos de estos <strong>problemas durante su vida<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dificultad respiratoria y al alimentarse.<\/li>\n<li>Temperatura corporal inestable. No obstante, <strong>las causas<\/strong> del crecimiento intrauterino restringido tambi\u00e9n <strong>afectan a las consecuencias<\/strong> que puede tener a largo plazo. No es lo mismo si la raz\u00f3n del peque\u00f1o tama\u00f1o del feto es una anemia leve de la madre f\u00e1cilmente tratable, que si es consecuencia de una malformaci\u00f3n cong\u00e9nita.<\/p>\n<p>Por esto es <strong>importante hacerse todas las pruebas necesarias<\/strong> y realizar un control del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/embarazo-trimestre\/\">embarazo por trimestre<\/a> adecuado y regular.<\/p>\n<p>Un detalle que hay que tener en cuenta es que, si la madre es naturalmente peque\u00f1a, el beb\u00e9 tambi\u00e9n puede ser m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o. Sin embargo, esto no es un trastorno ni se considera restricci\u00f3n del crecimiento intrauterino y, probablemente, tu m\u00e9dico lo tendr\u00e1 en cuenta al hacer sus mediciones y el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/prueba-del-perfil-biofisico-fetal-en-que-consiste\/\">perfil biof\u00edsico fetal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Se calcula que el crecimiento intrauterino restringido tiene una incidencia del 6,9% en los pa\u00edses desarrollados por lo que no es demasiado com\u00fan pero a\u00fan as\u00ed es conveniente estar atentos y acudir a todas las citas necesarias con el ginec\u00f3logo\/a.
