Las preocupaciones por nuestros peque\u00f1os nunca desaparecen. Especialmente para las mam\u00e1s y pap\u00e1s primerizos, las preguntas y las dudas son muy numerosas<\/strong> y hasta los detalles m\u00e1s insignificantes pueden hacer que salten nuestras alarmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuando acuestas a tu beb\u00e9 para dormir, esperas poder relajar un poco esas preocupaciones<\/strong>. Hasta que algo rompe el silencio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Empieza a roncar.<\/strong> Es cuando surgen las primeras dudas al respecto. \u00bfEs normal? \u00bfTiene alg\u00fan problema de respiraci\u00f3n? \u00bfEs momento de que cunda el p\u00e1nico? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 ronca mi beb\u00e9?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Te vamos a contar las razones por las que es posible que tu beb\u00e9 ronque <\/strong>y qu\u00e9 deber\u00edas hacer al respecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"miRazones por las que el beb\u00e9 ronca<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hay una serie de razones por las que tu beb\u00e9 puede estar roncando. Vamos a explic\u00e1rtelas de menor a mayor gravedad<\/strong> y tambi\u00e9n te diremos lo que debes hacer en cada caso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sufre un catarro com\u00fan<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Esta es la raz\u00f3n m\u00e1s com\u00fan y menos preocupante<\/strong> por la que tu beb\u00e9 ronca cuando duerme. Los beb\u00e9s no saben respirar por la boca, de modo que, si se trata del primer catarro del beb\u00e9<\/a> y tiene exceso de mucosas, es muy probable que al respirar por la nariz se produzcan los ronquidos.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si este es el caso, puedes seguir nuestras recomendaciones para aliviar el catarro<\/a>. Y, para ayudarle a respirar mientras duerme,<\/strong> puedes hacer uso de los lavados nasales<\/a>. Por supuesto no hay nada como la prevenci\u00f3n y tratar de evitar los catarros en beb\u00e9s<\/a>, pero eso no siempre es posible. Adem\u00e1s, hay que dar una oportunidad a su sistema inmune <\/strong>a hacerse poco a poco m\u00e1s fuerte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es s\u00edntoma de asma u alergia<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Otro motivo por el que tu beb\u00e9 puede tener dificultades a la hora de respirar mientras duerme puede ser que sufra alguna alergia<\/a> o que tenga asma<\/strong>. Este tipo de afecciones estar\u00edan obstruyendo sus v\u00edas respiratorias, provocando los ronquidos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En caso de que sospeches asma o una reacci\u00f3n al\u00e9rgica<\/strong>, te recomendamos acudir al pediatra para que pueda hacerle un examen apropiado y determinar el tratamiento, si es necesario.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am\u00edgdalas demasiado grandes o vegetaciones<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Detr\u00e1s de la nariz, en la parte superior de la garganta, se encuentras unas gl\u00e1ndulas llamadas adenoides<\/strong>, com\u00fanmente conocidas como vegetaciones. Estas gl\u00e1ndulas se encargan de parte de las defensas del organismo cuando somos peque\u00f1os y tienen un papel fundamental en prevenir infecciones<\/strong>. El problema es que, conforme aumentan de tama\u00f1o, producen m\u00e1s mucosidad<\/strong>. Si hay un exceso de \u00e9sta, la nariz y los o\u00eddos se bloquean causando una grave incomodidad y, probablemente, tambi\u00e9n los ronquidos de tu beb\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si a esto le a\u00f1ades que sus am\u00edgdalas<\/strong> podr\u00edan estar inflamadas<\/strong> o sean naturalmente un poco m\u00e1s grandes de lo normal, tienes la receta perfecta para que ronque. No obstante, este tipo de problema es menos frecuente en beb\u00e9s y m\u00e1s com\u00fan en ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as de entre 3 y 4 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si crees que tu beb\u00e9 puede tener vegetaciones<\/strong>, nuevamente debes llevarle al pediatra<\/strong>. El primer tratamiento suele ser con antibi\u00f3ticos para aliviar los s\u00edntomas. Pero si los catarros, bronquitis y otros problemas persisten, es posible que te sugieran retirar las am\u00edgdalas y las vegetaciones de forma quir\u00fargica.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"miEs s\u00edndrome de apnea-hipopnea<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Este ser\u00eda el caso m\u00e1s grave por el que tu beb\u00e9 ronca<\/strong>. La apnea-hipopnea consiste en que mientras duerme, su flujo a\u00e9reo nasal se detiene del todo o de forma parcial<\/strong>. Es decir, o respira con mucha dificultad o deja de respirar del todo, con lo que no llega suficiente ox\u00edgeno.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A parte de los problemas que un d\u00e9ficit de ox\u00edgeno puede causar en su desarrollo, tambi\u00e9n hay que a\u00f1adir las dificultades que tendr\u00e1 para conciliar el sue\u00f1o<\/strong> y dormir las horas que necesita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si tu beb\u00e9 ronca<\/strong>, respira de forma ruidosa, notas que se sufre pausas respiratorias<\/strong>, que no duerme tranquilo o que tiende a extender el cuello<\/strong> y la cabeza de formas extra\u00f1as, debes acudir al pediatra<\/strong> y comunicar que sospechas de apnea-hipopnea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La apnea-hipopnea suele estar relacionada con las am\u00edgdalas y las vegetaciones<\/strong> por lo que el tratamiento m\u00e1s com\u00fan suele ser la extracci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica. No obstante, dependiendo del caso, el pediatra puede hacer otras recomendaciones<\/strong>, como la septoplastia (si es una deformaci\u00f3n en la nariz la que est\u00e1 causando el problema), cirug\u00edas mandibulares, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otro motivo por el que tu beb\u00e9 podr\u00eda estar roncando <\/strong>es si t\u00fa o alguno de los adultos que pasa tiempo con el beb\u00e9, es fumador. Los beb\u00e9s en cuyo entorno hay humos nocivos, como los del tabaco,<\/strong> pueden tener complicaciones respiratorias. Seguro que conoces las razones por las que estar embarazada y ser fumadora<\/a> no es una buena idea, pero ten en cuenta que incluso despu\u00e9s del parto, debes mantener a tu beb\u00e9 alejado de esos ambientes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por lo general, si tu beb\u00e9 ronca, no es motivo para preocuparse<\/strong>. Como ya hemos comentado, la causa m\u00e1s habitual son los catarros comunes<\/strong>. Sin embargo, no est\u00e1 dem\u00e1s que conozcas las otras posibilidades, para acudir al m\u00e9dico en caso necesario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
