Of course, each woman will have a different experience depending on her personal circumstances.<\/p>\n<h2>What changes cause these problems?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Physical changes<\/strong>. As the months go by, the abdominal walls will gradually stretch to accommodate the foetus.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Postural changes.<\/strong> As your size increases, you\u2019ll adapt your posture, not always correctly, which can have negative consequences. This often results in pain in your pelvic area, groin or even buttocks radiating to your leg.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hormonal changes.<\/strong> During pregnancy the presence of the hormone relaxin increases significantly to help the joints and ligaments relax. But this laxity can be uncomfortable or painful. In fact, if there is too much laxity in the pelvic area, it can (in some cases) cause symphysis pubis dysfunction. If the pain persists or increases, it\u2019s always a good idea to talk to your doctor or midwife.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Is there any treatment or preventive measure?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Doing regular exercise, provided that your doctor has given you the go-ahead. Swimming is highly recommendable.<\/li>\n<li>Postural re-education.
