Entre el 2-10% de las embarazadas pueden llegar a padecerlo. Se desconocen las causas exactas pero durante la gestaci\u00f3n se producen hormonas que pueden bloquear el trabajo de la insulina, elevando los niveles de glucosa en sangre. Estas son algunas de las cosas que debes saber acerca de ella.<\/p>\n<h2>Factores que aumentan el riesgo de diabetes gestacional<\/h2>\n<p>Existen algunos factores que pueden aumentar el riesgo de padecer diabetes gestacional. Son los siguientes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Antecedentes familiares.<\/li>\n<li>Ser mayor de 35 a\u00f1os.<\/li>\n<li>Ser fumadora.<\/li>\n<li>Haber tenido un embarazo anterior donde hayas padecido diabetes<\/li>\n<li>Dar\u00a0a luz en partos anteriores beb\u00e9s muy grandes o de mucho peso.<\/li>\n<li>Haber sufrido una p\u00e9rdida gestacional.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Para saber si tienes diabetes gestacional te realizaran la <strong>prueba de la glucosa<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/test-osullivan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Test de O\u2019Sullivan<\/a>) entre las semanas 24 y 28 de tu embarazo. Si el valor sobrepasa los l\u00edmites se repetir\u00e1 la prueba a las tres semanas.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es el tratamiento?<\/h2>\n<p>El m\u00e9dico te indicar\u00e1 cu\u00e1l es el tratamiento que debes seguir. En l\u00edneas generales, consistir\u00e1 en lo siguiente:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Seguir una dieta muy estricta que tu m\u00e9dico te recomendar\u00e1.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.suavinex.com\/livingsuavinex\/ejercicio-embarazo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hacer ejercicio<\/a> despu\u00e9s de cada comida, evita el sedentarismo.<\/li>\n<li>Deber\u00e1s hacer 5 comidas al d\u00eda, sin excederte y siguiendo las indicaciones de tu m\u00e9dico.<\/li>\n<li>En caso de ser necesario, tu m\u00e9dico te indicar\u00e1 el tratamiento farmacol\u00f3gico a seguir.<\/li>\n<li>Deber\u00e1s medir tus niveles de glucosa varias veces al d\u00eda.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u00bfPuede afectar al beb\u00e9?<\/h2>\n<p>La diabetes gestacional suele afectar a la madre al final del embarazo. Y, aunque no es motivo de malformaciones, si no se controla adecuadamente puede afectar al beb\u00e9. Estas son las principales formas en que puede hacerlo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aumento de peso y tama\u00f1o del beb\u00e9 por encima de las medidas normales.<\/li>\n<li>Su gran tama\u00f1o puede dificultar el parto, y si \u00e9ste es por v\u00eda vaginal puede causarle da\u00f1os graves en sus hombros.<\/li>\n<li>Mayor riesgo de obesidad despu\u00e9s del nacimiento y en su primera infancia.<\/li>\n<li>Hipoglucemia despu\u00e9s del nacimiento.<\/li>\n<li>Hipocalcemia (poco calcio en sangre).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nuestro consejo es que sigas las indicaciones de tu m\u00e9dico y te realices las pruebas pertinentes para tener todo bajo control.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"La diabetes gestacional es un tipo concreto de diabetes que s\u00f3lo se desarrolla durante el embarazo.
